Virtual Something is a UK based Hosted Services company offering cutting-edge cloud technology to the small and medium buisness market. Founded by IT experts we passionately research new technologies to enable businesses to access all their IT resources wherever they are without the need for physical servers and hardware.
Our secure and reliable data centres store on-demand IT services such as computer domains and email systems and makes them available to users over the internet.
Our Hosted Desktop and Servers products allows companies to store their files, documents, applications and emails on our system and access them on any PC with an internet computer. With a few clicks on any computer, users are presented with their own personalised desktop where they can access their and their companies resources.
Our Hosted Exchange platform offers companies the freedom of Microsoft Exchange without the servers. A fully integrated email system allowing active-sync for your phone and the sharing of contacts and calandars.
What unique selling points do you offer?
We offer an alternative to the traditional IT system of servers within an office. By using cloud computing you can store everything within our data centres and access it through a virtual desktop - logging on is like logging into a network computer - but without the physical constraints. Log on at work, at home, even from the beach.
Describe the services you offer?
Offering SaaS cloud computing solutions for clients allowing them to outsource their IT infrastructure away from the office. Our primary product, vLight, is our next generation hosted desktop system offering a full IT system accessable anywhere. Also offering Hosted Exchange, Online Backup, Managed Servers, Virtualised Applications and Virtual/Hosting Consultancy.
Describe your target market?
New business start-up, small and medium sized business. As we operate a pay-for-what-you-use system companies can start with one or two users and expand their users and resource needs as they expand.
How is your company planning for the future?
As demand for cloud solutions increase the mobile technologies available will increase. We are researching new ways for clients to access their IT systems when they are on-the-move from blackberry/iPhone connection to new design slate computers.
What benefits can you offer your customers?
Cloud Computing means companies are no longer restricted to physical locations. Businesses no longer have to worry about the cost and maintenance of servers. Companies pay for what they use so can easily add users and resources as the company grows.
How do you support your customers?
Managed systems are catered to suit the company needs. Generally support needs for this is low - however should clients have any issues we provide a portal with all details/documents as well as the ability to log tickets to our support desk.
